Good news, bad news kinda post.

Bad news: the school is in "trouble" and everyone has to cut their day short by one hour a day. There goes $300 off my paychecks when I need it. IMHO, the boss should have just laid off the last hires. She "wanted to be fair to everyone". So why screw your employees who have been there to cover your arse the last 5-9 years (depending on the employee)??

Good news: At least I can get out one hour early and veg~

Bad news" Kait was back in the Urgent Care today. She has "some sort of infection. Instead of waiting and seeing what it is, we'll just start her on MORE antibiotics"

Good news: She is feeling a lil better now.

Bad news: Our school will be closed an extra day due to the electric company putting up new poles and adding to the lines.

Good news: We get paid anyway!!!

Bad news: the house is messy

Good news: It isn't near as messy as it was...and I AM off so I SHOULD clean up.

That's all. Go on about your lives now~
Really, GO~ nothing more to see....
Sigh....do I have to close this blog on you??

Go on, Get....C-ya later.......buh bye....

My daughter's bf left yesterday to go to Europe for the next 3 weeks with a student something or other. She went with him to LAX to say goodbye. This morning, the phone rang at 6 a.m. I wasn't really awake...I heard collect call ...Eric...not being awake and remembering where he is and thinking something must be wrong...I said yes. Then with a sudden understanding of what I had done....exclaimed OH SH*T. I took her the phone, told her to say," Hi, Did you make it safely? Good... love you...goodbye." She managed to sneak in a few more words so the call was still less than 2 minutes long. Who wants to bet that 2 minute call will set me back at least $20???

Wait!! Wait!! For the meme below...I now have a quote for Q....

"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!""-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

On several blogs I frequent...Thursdays are reserved for F.O.A.D days. Today is only Wednesday, but, I have decided to designate today as a F.O.A.D day.

So to the people who pretend to be friendly to you at work but somehow manage to not invite you and another coworker to an after hours event that is for the entire staff....F.O.A.D. To people who are insensitive and tell lies, or say one thing to your face while doing another behind your back...F.O.A.D. And finally, to anyone else who gets in my way today , whomever you may be, and manages to irk me....why... you can go F.O.A.D too.

Why no, I didn't get alot of sleep last night...and yes, I am fed up with insincere, lying, demanding, backstabbing, manipulative people who live in my life. Time for a few eviction notices or at the least, a kicked ass.

Who's next??

well, ONE coat of primer is on. As I watched the first dry, it occured to me that I could still see the lime green coming through in spots. Oh well, I'm already cleaned up for tonight. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow. The only thing that seems to have covered well is the woodwork which was a very dark brown. It took the primer very well after a light sanding. The paint was colored wrong...it looked more like mint chip ice cream than the fern it was supposed to resemble. I had them retint it and now it is much more pleasing to the eye. I HOPE to start painting the room tomorrow afternoon after the primer has dried for a few hours. Til then, I am keeping the door closed to that room as I am pretty sure it'll take the rest of the night to lose my "primer high". That stuff is potent, even with the windows open and a fan blowing.

I sooo do not want to head to the other room and start slapping primer up on the wall. However, I KNOW it needs to be done before Kait gets home next week. I guess I'll just shove all of the furniture to the middle of the room and just "get 'er done". The walls won't actually be that bad...though they will need several coats of primer...it's the sanding the dresser and the east facing wall that will be a pain. Kait put up rope lights on the east wall...with HUGE nails...I mean HUGE. You could have put up 2x4's with these nails. So, I have to pull it all down, spackle, let it dry, sand it, then see if it looks right before I prime and paint. My sister loves to paint...literally loves it. She's repainted her living room, kitchen, family room, halls and entrance way as well as a 2 story staircase 3 times in the last 6 months. I painted one big room and my bathroom last year for the refinance and loathed every single swish of the brush. Anyway, stting here blogging isn't getting me started and I need to stop procrastinating....
