well, ONE coat of primer is on. As I watched the first dry, it occured to me that I could still see the lime green coming through in spots. Oh well, I'm already cleaned up for tonight. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow. The only thing that seems to have covered well is the woodwork which was a very dark brown. It took the primer very well after a light sanding. The paint was colored wrong...it looked more like mint chip ice cream than the fern it was supposed to resemble. I had them retint it and now it is much more pleasing to the eye. I HOPE to start painting the room tomorrow afternoon after the primer has dried for a few hours. Til then, I am keeping the door closed to that room as I am pretty sure it'll take the rest of the night to lose my "primer high". That stuff is potent, even with the windows open and a fan blowing.

I saw that firebrick color while I was looking at reds for my other daughter's room...it's very pretty Aleta! I found a wonderful spackle. It goes on pink....so you can see where you've been...then dries whte. A light sanding and it looked perfect. I lucked out...the sister who LIKES to paint came up to my house unexpectedly and painted 3 of the 4 walls while I was at work!! I only have a little bit of edgework around the closet and hte main door...and the woodwork itself and the room will be complete. Considering it is supposed to be 106 this weekend, I don't think it would have gotten done without her. Thanks SIS, dinner's on me!!
