Good girls go to Heaven. Bad girls go everywhere.
The in's and out's, up's and down's and high's and low's that happen to be my life.

Hey, look what I can do, I swear this option wasn't here earlier...or I have really been out of it. I had my MRI on Monday...it was an "Open" unit. Talk about a misnomer. Yes it wasn't the dreaded tube. Instead they slide you between two big "donuts". It is JUST as claustrophobic...don't let them tell you differently. Now maybe had I been able to turn my head and look out the sides of this open unit, it would have been better...but no, when my eyes were open all I could see was this HUGE blue padded circle 2 inches from my nose. (and when I say huge, it was at least 3 feet in diameter). It's noisy and they make you wear headphones to "block" some of the sound....I left telling my ride to remind me to be creamated, cause even if I'm dead, I'll KNOW I'm in some tiny little box. Not much else going on, Ran my eldest to her Aunties for a week...the other two haven't complained TOO loudly (yet). Yes I know, boring stuff all...but hey, no one ever said my life was exciting. More later....

Okay, now that I have a few minutes... I'll fill you in on my special day. Dan surprised me with a very early wake up call...6 a.m~ now for some of you that isn't early, but considering I generally go to bed around 2 am...
Dan gave me 5 minutes to get dressed and told me everything was a surprise. He whisked me out the door, barely giving me time to write a note to my still sleeping family...and handed a helmet to me. Now I have been on a motorcycle before, but I have NEVER ridden quite that way. I tell you, the way he took the curves had me holding onto him VERY tightly ;)
We arrived at Pismo Beach just before 9 and had breakfast at a little cafe right on the beach. After the most scrumptious french toast I have EVER had, we headed for the beach where Dan had arrainged for horses to be waiting. We spent the next several hours riding through the surf and off to a mostly deserted cove. By then we were both ready for a little snack and Dan so kindly shared his gingerbread ~MMMmmmm~ El, you must find out if they ship. IT warmed up just enough in the afternoon for us to slip off our shoes, roll up our pants and walk down the beach, picking up HUGE sanddollars with one hand and guiding out horses with the other.
We laid a blanket out to watch the sunset. The colors were amazing...the pinks and oranges of the setting sun, the deep blues and purples of the darkening sky, the deep warmth of Dan's eyes...er...where was I? Oh yes, we had a lovely picnic on the beach before we reluctantly turned the horses in and got back on Dan's Harley.
The ride back was melancholy as I knew that early Friday Dan would have to go and pick Jim up from the airport (wish he had come in a day earlier so he could have joined us..imagine 2 hunks on the beach with me - sigh) We arrived after 11 and once he had showered and hugged me goodnight (and yes in THAT order...BEAUTIFUL sight...Dan fresh from the shower, no shirt) We both went on to bed.
Today I got up early and wished him goodbye and safe journey. Dan, if your reading this, please consider yourself welcome ANY time...I'd like to share a few more bites of gingerbread with you. And take another ride on that big, powerful monster of yours.
Harleys are COOL~

WOW! What a day! Dan and I are JUST now getting back to my house. I'm tired but thrilled with the day we shared together. I'm gonna get him set for a shower and a place for him to sleep...and fall into bed myself. I'll fill you all in tomorrow...I never knew having such power between your legs could make you so incredibly tired....HEY, you have a very dirty mind...I was talking about the MOTORCYCLE...Geez~
*BAG*

TODAY is my birthday and I am going to enjoy every last second of it. So come on over to my house ya'll...the drinks are cold, the food is hot and so am I! *BAG*

This post has been deleted by author as she decided things really aren't as bad as all THAT...and she has decided to live, love and let go of the things she has no control over. Sides, I hear I may have company in the form of one VERY hot Bob White tomorrow...wonder if he knows how to Salsa?? If he doesn't, he's got some learning in store...I'm gonna PARTY HARD on my special day! Pina Coladas anyone??

I am wishing I had not screwed with Mother Nature. Oh sure, she screwed with me first, sending my thyroid off on some wild tangent, but now the cure is worse than the disease. My thyroid is DEAD...that's good. For almost 9 months I have been on replacement thyroid...my blood results continue to say I am not absorbing it into my system. Well last night, it kicked into high gear. I felt just like I did LAST summer before I "took it down". Now the meds ARE working...all at once. I'm back on atenolol....to slow my pulse down...seems I now have TOO much thyroid in my system. I can't win for losing. SO now we play the "take less but we don't know how much less" game. So much for magical pills.
In other news I stole this from Aleta's blog...TOO funny....Which marshmellow from the Lucky Charms box do you like? and what does it say about you??...AHEM....I like Purple horseshoes...
Purple horseshoes:
If purple horseshoes are your thing, your tastes are modern, uninhibited, and somewhat warped. You like variety in the bedroom, especially when you can include handcuffs, chains, swingsets, and chocolate pudding. Be careful when going out on a picnic with anyone who likes purple horseshoes--she's likely to pin you down with croquet hoops when you're not looking and who knows what could happen next?
(BLUSHING FURIOUSLY)
Have a good day one and all~

In what may be an actual act of God, workers comp has come through and I have an MRI scheduled for July 19th. Do I want an MRI...yes and no. Yes cause I need to know what is wrong with this shoulder...and no cause I am very claustrophobic. Supposedly they will be able to get me into an open MRI...but still. I am nervous.
I just hope that whatever it is, it isn't too hard to fix...ie, no surgery, though I have the feeling it may head that way.
In today's wild and weird news, we had a FEAR FACTOR day at school and I once again, upheld my title of coolest teacher by eating not one, not two, but FOUR chocolate covered crickets. Yes, that's right, Crickets. They had no taste at all, minus the chocolate...and were much better than the worms I ate for the same reason last summer. LOL. I even got another teacher to try one too...I was amazed she did it...I wonder what we'll come up with next year???
Anyway, thats it for now...
