I've managed to get to the gym almost 3 times a week for the last 3 weeks. I'm taking a water aerobics class that is fun and while it is routined, she mixes it up some each time. I'm not seeing weight loss with the class, but I can already see results in my midriff is shrinking and toning. This last week I only was able to go once. Families can tend to be disruptive to the gym process when only one parent is doing the majority of the housework, parenting and also working full time. It doesn't help much that the class is at 6 pm. It takes me 10 minutes to get there, 5 to change and get in the pool, an hour long class, time to dry and drive home and there, easily, goes a little more than an hour and a half. I can use the gym closer to my house, but the one I have been going to is the ONLY one with a pool. I haven't eaten as well as I should have these last few weeks. Something I need to watch if I am going to make my first goal by the end of next month. My goal is to have lost 36 pounds by April 30th. I've got 14 more to go. I know I can do this...I'm just reaching that point where I have to recommit myself to myself :o)
Nothing else really going on. Regisration begins Monday at work and it will be a very chaotic week. Fortunately, my boss left early yesterday and I was able to sit down in our office and do EVERYTHING that needed to be completed. It's so much easier to work when she isn't around. She complicates things entirely too much.
I have a WEEK off beginning April 7th. I'm going to take a short break from everything...kids included and am headed to the mountains. I've booked a cabin with a lake view and am going to sit and relax and just absorb the peace and tranquility. I have a few In Death Books I want to read as well.
And lastly, though it is a "few" years down the road (12) the decision on where to retire has been narrowed down to the Blue Ridge Mountain area of North Carolina. The exact town is still up in the air until next year when a flight back to visit the areas will be necessary. Hey, as long as it is no more than a 4 hour drive to Raleigh, I'm fine with almost anywhere...I plan on getting season tickets to the NC State Wolfpack football games.
