The last flurry of running around begins today. I've to visit the bank, start packing, make sure the house is neat as a pin and maybe make cookies...not that I need to be eating any!

Before I go,I wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. May your hearts be filled with joy and peace. May the spirit of Christmas grant love and laughter to you and yours and may the New Year bring you all that you wish for (and deserve). Have a safe and healthy holiday. I want to see you all back next year,

Much love to my readers....all 3 of you.

Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noel, Feliz Navidad, Fröhliches Christmas and...because I teach small fry...as Raffi would say:

We fish you a mare egrets moose,
panda hippo gnu deer!

Rowhouse 'Hood
People know you as: The Bohemian Gentrifier
Quote: "That crack house just needed a little paint."

Your score indicates that you are a city-dweller of the old-school. You like a dense, finely grained neighborhood with restaurants, churches and brothels all on the same block. Although you've never spoken to him personally, you know that guy Eddie down the street is a pimp and you're sure to tell your lame suburban friends about him at every opportunity, just to freak them out.

The bad news is that as more and more people like you move into your neighborhood it gradually becomes less cool and more expensive. Enjoy things while you can, because in 5 years you're going to have to move to the next 'hood uptown.

My sis came up for a few days and we ventured into the foreign world known as the Dump...aka my garage. Now to understand why it is called the Dump...you must imagine a black hole...things go into it...and NEVER come out. Until today, there were clothes tossed out there that fit no one, boxes from the last 3 years...if it came in a box, the box was in the Dump...in case we "needed it some day". There is a washing machine that I spent way to much on and burned out the motor just AFTER the warranty expired, assorted gardening tools, my son's old bed...he wanted a "real bed" for his birthday and not a futon, and years of just plain old JUNK. She needed to get away from her husband for a few days....more on that later....and I told her if she gave me a hand...she could stay with me. I don't know how she has the energy but together, we got it clean. My honey helped too...and the kids flittered in and out and helped some...but the point is.. it's CLEAN~ That leaves one more project I would like to complete this year, painting my bedroom. We've been in this house for over 8 years and it is the only room in the house that we've not worked on. I come home so tired from work that it falls under the "nobody sees my room, let's not worry about it right now" category. If I manage to get the rest of my room picked up tomorrow, we'll paint on Thursday.

Things to do before I go on vacation:
Clean the garage......Check
clean the house........Check
Clean my room........Tonight
Miata to garage for recall...tomorrow
Van to Firestone for routine work....Thursday
Paint my room........Thursday
Pack........................Friday
Relax with Family and open gifts...Saturday

AND, though not before I leave on vacation...learn how to write part of this and put the rest under a "more" option so the blog isn't so darn long...anyone able to tell me??

Good Morning All~

And how could it not be a good morning when I have the next 2, yes 2 weeks off of work?? Today is going to rock. It doesn't matter that I need to clean my bedroom....do a few piles of laundry...unload and reload the dishwasher and finish Christmas shopping....No it doesn't. The only thing that matters is I am off of work for 2 glorious weeks! I really do like my job...the kids are usually great, I love my coworkers and most of the time I can tolerate my boss. I just needed a break. I "slept" in today until 9 a.m. Okay, so I woke up at my usual time and looked at the clock every 20 minutes or so until I decided to roll out of bed. Just the fact I could lay there was nice.

My Honey is off of work today too....and we never have a Saturday together so we can get the chores out of the way and go for a drive or something...my kids are happy to have a break as well and are in good spirits...well cept the oldest...her BF leaves for Idaho today and he wont be back til we are in Florida...so 2 weeks with no Erik. She may wither and die :oP

Lots to do....better make hay while the sun shines...and I say that tongue in cheek...we're having some wonderful tule fog...the sun is hidden most likely, for the better part of the day...but...it doesn't matter....I'm off for 2 entire weeks~~~~~ ;o)

Been a long time....I've been busy doing alot of nothing. Alot of running around with the kids, shopping for Christmas, wrapping presents and preparing for a trip to Florida at the end of this month....we leave Christmas day and return New Years Eve day. I wish I could say it will be one of those "restful" vacations. I would like one of those. However, we're staying at Grandpa's house so for me that means doing dishes, cleaning up behind the kids and laundry...just what I have here. The only differences being...at home I can send them to their rooms when they are bored and I can sit and veg if I wish to...there...waking up early for "touristy" stuff...and "mom, I'm bored" cries. Grandpa is soooo behind the times, he doesnt have a computer~good thing my phone has AIM so I can say HEY once and again! Can you even begin to imagine how WE ever survived childhood...we had board games and our really cool gaming came from Atari...PONG anyone?? Giggle~I'll try and come by a lil more often....I need to make time for actuvities I enjoy...like catching up at JIX...blogging..and cooking things I like instead of "kid" meals...spaghetti is getting old.
